Whoo! Got a bunch of books from the library yesterday...unfortunately, I finished most of them in two days so now I must trudge back to the library. :( They should have library mailing service.

Hi Annie, So glad you enjoyed 13 Reasons Why. I liked it too. The story was told in such a different way that was believable, yet kept you guessing until the end. A must read! I like that you listed the books that you've ditched. I don't mind setting aside a book that just doesn't appeal to me. There are so many great books out there that I can spend my time reading!

DeleteI have a major problem with books that I don't like...I feel obligated to finish them. My mantra while reading is basically "They took the effort and time to write and you will reward them by taking your time and effort to finish it".
However, sometimes it's just too much and like you said,there are so many other good books to try out! After all, a minute wasted is a minute gone!

I hope you get The Lost Hero back soon! I just finished The Mark of Athena and it's my favorite of the series. You shouldn't feel bad about ditching books. ReplyDeleteThe Heroes of Olympus is a great series and I'm disappointed that I haven't gotten past The Lost Hero yet! And I agree with you on ditching books - I keep reminding myself that but often, the guilt is too much for me. Oh well. Thank you for stopping by! :)
